Japanese Patent granted for Pharmalink AB’s Nefecon (News-Medical-Net)
Pharmalink AB announced today that it has been granted Japanese Patent No 4326696, “Methods and means for treating glomerulonephritis” for its product Nefecon(R) which is being developed to treat IgA nephropathy, a glomerulonephritis leading to end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Counterparts of the patent have been issued for other territories including the EU, US and China.

Nokia takes off the gloves with Apple patent suit (telecomasia.net)
Nokia has gone after Apple, filing a patent claim that accuses its rival of infringing on ten of its patents. The iPhone violates Nokia patents covering GSM, UMTS and WLAN standards, Nokia alleged in the lawsuit filed in a US federal court yesterday.
